If you are a carer you can also become involved and have your say.
There are Local and Countywide Forums set up across Devon so that you can meet with staff employed to represent carers and with other carers who act as carer representives. These forums are different from the Carer Support groups which offer individual carers support and information. Forums discuss proposed service developments and offer carers a chance to shape services in Devon.
Others decide to become members of Devon Carers Voice, a panel of carers who are either contacted by post, email or telephone and offered opportunities to comment on new service development ideas. Sometimes Devon Carers Voice members are asked to attend meetings.
Other carers go on to become carer representatives and chair a Local Forum.
